trial and evaluation

Once you have registered your account you will receive an e-mail with further instructions regarding free trial. Please note that you are only eligible for a free trial if you have never used Rithmic or R | Trader Pro™ before.

Evaluation fee is $299 per month and is to be done as montly upfront payment via PayPal or Stripe. Payment will be automatically renewed every month. You can cancel your evaluation at any time with term of notice to next montly payment (renewal) date. No fee will incur anymore after cancellation is done.

As a registered user doing an evaluation you can reset your evaluation account by paying $99 $75 at any time. Reset can be done via your dashboard. Reset will not affect your monthly payment date. Once your account has been reset, any foregone rule violations will be erased and your account balance will be set to $100,000 (in case of a $100k account) / $50,000 (in case of a $50k account) again.

Once reset has been completed you will receive a confirmation e-mail. After that you can trade with your reset account.

If you want to start trading with your trial or evaluation account you have to connect to your trading platform. 

In case of a free trial you can start by connection to your trading platform as desribed below. Free trial is only available if your never used Rithmic, R | Trader Pro™ or R | Trader™ before. In case of an evaluation, you have to start your evaluation first. You can do this at your Account dashboard. After having startet your evalation you can connect to your trading platform as described below.

If you want to use another trading platform than our recommended trading platform NinjaTrader you have to connect to your Rithmic account with that trading platform. If you need assistance, please connect your trading platform’s support. Please install R | Trader Pro™ to monitor your Net P&L and your traling drawdown.

NinjaTrader connection guide
If you already have NinjaTrader, you can use your current installation.

Step 1        Download and install NinjaTrader 8.

Step 2        License key.

  • Open NinjaTrader
  • Click Help (in the NinjaTrader control center), then click license key
  • Replace the current license key with the NinjaTrader lincese key shown on the home page of your dashboard.
  • Click „OK“

Step 3        Connect to your account.

  • Open NinjaTrader (if not already opened)
  • Click „Connections“ (in the NinjaTrader control center)
  • Click „Configure“ than the connection options menu will pop-up
  • Click Rithmic for NinjaTrader Brokerage
  • Click add
  • Click my Rithmic for NinjaTrader Brokerage
  • Connection name: tradewithoutcapital
  • Check „Connect on Start Up“
  • Username: The email address you have registered at Rithmic
  • Password: Your Rithmic password
  • System: Rithmic Paper Trading 
  • Click apply
  • Click OK
  • Close account connection set up window
  • Click connections (in the NinjaTrader control center), then click „tradewithoutcapital“. You should now see a green circle on the bottom left on the control center beside „tradewithoutcapital“. Then you are connected and can start trading. If you are not connected please contact us.

Step 4         Make sure you rollover your futures to the current front month contract.


  • Click Tools (in the NinjaTrader control center), the click „Database Management“.
  • The grid for the rollover futures instruments section will show each instrument that is eligible to be rolled over. A contract is eligible to be rolled when today’s date is greater than or equal to the rollover date defined for the instruments next contract month.
  • When selecting Rollover, any instrument with a check mark in the update column will be updated to the contract month in the new expiry column.
  • Repeat this process on a regular basis.
R | Trader Pro™ connection guide

Please install R | Trader Pro™ to monitor your Net P&L and your traling drawdown. Due to restrictions of the CME it might be not possible to use your trading platform and Trader Pro™ at the same time. If that problem appears please only connect to R | Trader Pro™ if you you currently do not have any active trades.

 

Step 1       

Download and the software R | Trader Pro™

 

Step 2       

Install R | Trader Pro™  by double-clicking on the “RithmicTraderPro” icon that was saved to your PC.

 

Step 3       

Open R | Trader Pro™  by double-clicking on the “Rithmic Trader Pro” icon on your desktop.

 

Step 4        

When the R | Trader Pro™  login window appears, enter your Rithmic account username (=email adress registered with Rithmic“) and password in the respective fields.  From the “System” drop-down menu, choose “Rithmic Paper Trading”.  From the “Gateway” drop-down menu, choose “Chicago Area”.

 

Step 5        

Within R | Trader Pro™, click on the “Trader Dashboard” and refer to “PNL” column to view Net P&L and account balances. If you want to monitor your current trailing drawdown please add the „Auto-liquidation threshold“ column.
